About Edcover

Edcover provides schools with a one stop solution to the many challenges associated with cover lessons.

Set

  • The absent Teacher can login and set work
  • This can be uploaded or created on the platform.
  • Ask our AI Assistant to generate a lesson plan based on the chosen topic and year group.
  • Cover-supervisors, line managers and Senior leaders can check that work is in place and staff have been allocated before the lesson takes place

Deliver

  • The teacher delivering the lesson logs on and has access to the lesson
  • This can also be printed out as a pdf if required
  • Class lists, seating plans along with all the lesson content are easily accessible through the platform

Feedback

  • The member of staff delivering the lesson can leave feedback
  • The school can decide on what should be reviewed (completion of work/attitude to learning/appropriateness of task etc.)
  • There is also the opportunity to leave a message for the teacher

HOW?

What triggers the process?
Absent members of staff easily access the online platform to set cover work for the requested period of absence.

What next?
​Edcover brings together all the relevant information using your MIS into one easy to use dashboard.  The cover manager is provided with a clear process to allocate suitable staff, ensure work is set and communicate with stake holders.

And Then?
The absent member of staff (or line manager) sets the work in text, video or hyperlink form. The cover teacher/supervisor receives clear instructions and information to teach the lesson, including: class, period, room, detailed class list and resources. The cover manager can tailor their dashboard to evaluate the quality of work set and feedback.
